Free Brochure Distribution

Brochures supplied to the MCCVB will be distributed for free through the CVB.  This includes through visitor requests, the local visitor’s center, to area businesses, state travel information centers and to other area tourism offices and information outlets.

 

Free listings

The county Visitor’s Guide will provide a listing of the CVB membership – including name, address, phone, fax, e-mail and website and the same with a brief description on the website morgancounty.org.  Member events and special activities will also be listed in the guide and on the website along with links.

 

Referral system

Specific inquiries made to the MCCVB via phone, e-mail, website or in person for varied services and products will be referred to member businesses.

 

Newsletter

A quarterly newsletter updating members on tourism industry issues, member recognitions and accomplishments, upcoming projects and opportunities and concerns will be sent to all CVB members.

 

Networking Opportunities

In addition to the annual meeting other special members only events may be scheduled such as a business after hours, networking lunches or project specific committees that will provide the opportunity for members to network and share ideas, problems, successes or opportunities with other members. 

 

“FAM” tours and hospitality training

The MCCVB will plan, as requested by the members, area familiarization tours and/ or hospitality trainings to assist members in educating their employees about county attractions, events, local history and other topics of interest to visitors.

 

Organizational Involvement

Each member of the MCCVB is eligible to run for office and serve on the Board of Trustees as well as participate on a variety of standing and project specific committees as requested by the members.
