Malta and McConnelsville

The twin communities of Malta and McConnelsville summarize the colorful history of Morgan County through their museums, unique historic sites and Main Street style downtowns. Included in the list are the Historical Society, Doll House and Button House Museums, the Rock Hollow One-Room School House and the underground Dungeon, an 1800's era holding cell for prisoners. Also located throughout the communities are a variety of historic markers that continue to tell the story of the county, community and the byway.
